Video: Forces at play in Formula One enough to destroy wheels

It is no secret that the Formula One a high degree of force to both drivers and cars. Case in point: As seen in the video after the break, Red Bull driver Sebastien Buemi experienced catastrophic failure of his front wheels under hard braking. Buemi was the establishment of a corner and a slowdown of around 185 miles per hour, when its two front wheels are pulled from his car.

Demonstrations in Bahrain cause Grand Prix cancellation

Report: Pat "Crashgate" Symonds finds his way back into F1 with Virgin

Officially Official: Heidfeld to fill Kubica's seat at Lotus Renault GP

Filling the proverbial shoes of Robert Kubica is not an easy task. The Grand Prix winner - one of only 102 in history - is the first Polish driver to make it in Formula One, and he is rated as one of the best in the industry. Fill his place, but it is exactly what Renault had to unfortunate Kubica crash in an Italian rally this made him difficult - if not critical - injured. But if anyone is up to the task, it's Nick Heidfeld.
The two were former teammates for several years at Sauber and Heidfeld for his part has more races than any other driver, on or from the network. He is also the de facto go-to guy for outfits that an experienced driver have in post-haste step, after it was Pirelli selected to test their new F1 tires and then returned to Sauber when Pedro de la Rosa was not working from last season.
After testing Heidfeld at its recent meeting, the Lotus Renault Jerez GP team announced that they selected the German driver, Kubica to take place until he is able to return to racing. Heidfeld wins selection of Bruno Senna and Romain Grosjean, both also racing experience (albeit much less) and are contracted members of the team test driver roster.

Hispania Racing Team F111 debut rounds out Formula 1 preseason

We know this looks like an F1 car. But you know what it is? It's the end of the beginning. For, according to Ferrari, Lotus, Renault, Sauber, Mercedes, Red Bull, Toro Rosso, Williams, McLaren, Virgin and Force India all present their new Formula 1 car for the 2011 championship, Hispania Racing Team has joined the action with the F111, marking the end of the season debuts.
The new car bears all the hallmarks of the new F1 regulations, but the first thing you probably notice is his livery. With little in the way of sponsors, HRT brought in Daniel Simon - the former VW group responsible for design, including the light cycles in Tron: Legacy - the dynamic to pin the car color. The result is much more attractive than last year's gray car, so that open spots for future sponsors (currently taking "This could be you" and "Your logo here" logo). Simon's Cosmic Motors design company has its own logo on the side pod wing panels joined only by Tata Motors, who was the team with Narain Karthikeyan.
The Indian driver, who drove for Jordan once way back in 2005 returns, just in time for this year's first Indian Grand Prix. However, after presentation of Bruno Senna, the door, HRT is the last outfit that has yet to confirm his second driver. This is business as usual for HRT, which last year used four different driver Karun Chandhok and Bruno Senna, Sakon Yamamoto and Christian Klien, none of which counted a single point in the 2010 car. F1 teams wish Robert Kubica a speedy recovery at Jerez test

The Formula One circus is in Jerez this weekend, try out the latest series of race cars before the season starts next month in Bahrain. But something is missing. Someone actually, and that someone Robert Kubica.

The Polish driver in his Lotus-Renault GP team, as you may have heard, is recovering in hospital from injuries substained in a rally accident in Italy that his vehicle was impaled by a roadside guardrail. At the Jerez test his team give a number of drivers - including their own, and Tester Bruno Senna F1 veteran Nick Heidfeld - Kubica a shot at temporary filling his seat, but they are not the only feeling his absence.

The majority of the teams on the grid have set special messages of hope for recovery Kubica somewhere on their cars. Some have mounted on the front fenders, some on the side pods and front keel, while others have placed on the side of the rear wing. But the message is the same: "Robert Szybkiego powrotu do zdrowia" in his native Polish - speedy recovery, Robert. Force India takes on the 2011 F1 championship with the new VJM04

With an expanded grid over the past few years in Formula One in a three-point competition has grown. On the front you have the title contenders such as Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes GP. On the back you have the newcomers Lotus, Hispania and Virgin. In between are the rest that make up the midfield: Renault, Williams, Sauber, Toro Rosso and Force India. But while these divisions are fairly consistent, do changes occur from one season to the next. Mercedes GP - earlier than Brawn and Honda F1 GP formerly known - was a solid midfielder at best for years, but was won in 2009 and still run at the front. Ditto Red Bull Racing, which has seen a remarkable transformation since the Stewart / Jaguar days. And then you have to Force India.
The team took over from perennial back-marker outfit Jordan in 2007, and in his first season under new management, tenth in the constructors' championship - just ahead of Super Aguri, which easily back through the season. But the following season, ninth (before Toro Rosso) and last year, after running sixth most of the season, came in the seventh, hitting, Toro Rosso, Sauber and the three newcomers. That's some impressive progress, but this year Force India aims for fifth place in the championship, and this is the car which they hope to get there.
The VJM04 (the team's fourth car, so named after team boss Vijay Mallya) is an evolution of last year's design and, while McLaren-Mercedes power for the third season. Adrian Sutil, who has been with the team from the start, only to return, this time as a partner of DTM champion Paul di Resta, the Vitantonio Liuzzi replaced. Nico Hulkenberg takes the test driver role - the team has decided to run for the 2010 cars in the first test session - while several senior staff team went during the off-season to rival teams.
Will Force India to be able upward flight path to achieve their targets, and maybe a podium finish at the Lone Giancarlo Fisichella for the team scored at the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix? Report: Ferrari bows to Ford legal pressure, renames F1 car F150th Italia [*UPDATE]

According to AutoWeek, Ferrari is a recently filed suit Ford bow, renaming the new Formula One race of the F150th Italia.

Originally called "F150", the name quickly picked up the hackles of the legal team of the Blue Oval, the long-standing demand that alphanumeric names, thanks to its F-150 full-size pickup line. Ferrari F150 had chosen the moniker, in compliance with 150 years of Italian unification.

AutoWeek notes that the revised name was unveiled for the first time today published a new story about the car testing in Jerez, Spain on the official website of Ferrari.

So far Ferrari has no official opinion on changing the name, or the process that Ford lawyers filed on Wednesday in Detroit.

Lotus Renault GP to evaluate Nick Heidfeld in Jerez for Kubica's seat

A fast-paced world, as Formula One can not afford to sit still, even if one of their down. So while Robert Kubica back in the hospital, his Lotus Renault GP team for the hard decision of what to do in the meantime. Kubica does not expect that by the middle of the season in the best case, they will need someone to fill until then.

Earlier reports are Tonio Liuzzi and Nico Hulkenberg - both of which lost their race seats this season - held as potential candidates for Kubica, but the team itself has just confirmed that Nick Heidfeld driving the new R31 in the upcoming test in Jerez in Spain.

Heidfeld is a German driver, who has been in F1 since 1998, driving for such teams as McLaren, Prost, Jordan and Williams. He drove alongside Kubica for four seasons at BMW Sauber 2006 to 2009. Last season he was as a test driver for Mercedes GP contract, but was dismissed as a dirt needed to replace Pedro de la Rosa. He could fill the same role for Renault, or the team will promote one of its test drivers on the hot seat instead? Follow the jump for the official statement.
