Video: Japanese comedians don't take well to ice drifting
Drifting on ice sounds much more exciting than Disney on Ice. At least for us anyway.
A back seat full of Japanese comics may beg to go after a lateral slipping differ in the back seat of an older Mitsubishi Evo. It really is not much for us to add this clip because ... well, we do not really know what's going on. We know that the action is fast and furious, while the actors' expressions of shock and illness. click along and see the step-sideways drama to unfold for themselves.

Mazda to lease EVs in Japan next year
Mazda is preparing a fleet of electric vehicles, which will be available for leasing in Japan. Based on the Demio/Mazda2, these EVs use the automaker's new SKYACTIV drive technology. Mazda is for a 200-mile driving range shots (about 124 miles) and plans to begin leasing program in spring 2012.
The target group will be the vehicle for community groups and fleet customers. Mazda ultimate goal of the program is to refine his knowledge of electric vehicles by collecting data on EV requirements and drive technology. For full details, follow the jump for the automaker's short press release.

TAS 2011: 370Z to Porsche Panamera Convertible conversion
If you wanted to create a drop-top Porsche Panamera, where would you start? Maybe with a sedan Panamera or otherwise stable from the Porsche? Or at least something that comes from Germany?
A customizer at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show held his ideal Teutonic convertible would begin life as a Nissan 370Z Roadster. It takes more than a body kit and upgraded lighting of Japan to go to Germany, but we give the owner of this car an A for effort. Execution? Well ... not so much.
Also, we can only go to stay patient and wait quietly for the real thing come out of Zuffenhausen. Oh, wait ...
