FBI being sued for crashing a Ferrari
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice have landed in hot water over the destruction of a Ferrari F50. According to The Detroit News, the vehicle was made by a dealer in Rosemont, Pennsylvania in 2003, and the dealer and stole insurance claim for the sum of $ 750,000 at the time as reported. Based in Michigan Motors Insurance Corp. shelled for the cash, and in August 2008, the FBI recovered the vehicle in Kentucky. At that time, the FBI saved the car while waiting to pursue the thief, at least until someone decided to the Bureau to use it for a small local foliage.

Report: Motorists file class action suit against Florida toll road for... taking hostages?
Florida drivers are officially through the actions of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Faneuil Inc. The latter is a private firm hired by the FDOT, fed to manage its operations tollgate. A class action lawsuit filed against both parties said that toll booth operators have kept cash-payment car driver hostage.
Pay with cash caused an increase in operating costs for Faneuil because workers are needed to handle the money and change it. In an apparent attempt to dissuade drivers from paying with cash, the operators are required to fill Bill Detection Report toll. The license plate number, car make and model and driver's license are written all the information. The barrier is not released until this information is delivered, and many drivers feel that policy is out of control. For his part, would prefer that drivers Faneeil SunPass automated system that would switch to help reduce operating costs.
The lawsuit alleges that civil rights are violated and claims this is a form of deprivation of liberty. Neither have commented on the FDOT or the Faneuil action.

Judge: First Toyota lawsuits likely to go on trial in 2013
It looks like it will take some time before Toyota comes bundled into the courtroom for the first of the mountain of complaints that have been by a federal judge in regard to sudden acceleration claims.
A federal judge has said he wants to be the first of the cases in the early months of 2013 to try. That is, the pre-trial discovery evidence to be wrapped up 2012 to the end of the year. U.S. District Judge James V. Selna made the announcement at a hearing on 14 January. For those who follow, Toyota is staring down the barrel of 400 complaints related to the recall of more than 8 million vehicles.
According to Bloomberg, Selna especially defense lawyers called on "bellwether"cases developed to select the claims of both plaintiffs and defendants in the test sooner rather than later. The report shows that lawyers have agreed on both sides of the cases Selna time table.
Meanwhile, another series of cases of personal injury are set to go on trial in Texas in February or March of 2012.
