Lotus Elise Club Racer is stripped-out, Geneva-bound hotness
Lotus, the car manufacturer, defines what it means, "add lightness", has created an even more stripped down version of the already flyweight Elise. Called the Club Racer, this light two-seater will make its debut at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show next month.
The Elise is a Club Racer with 52 pounds lighter than the standard car, and Lotus achieves this by using the noise reduction and the use of a motor racing-derived lightweight battery. This might not seem like a huge weight savings, but considering that the ground already Elise weighs less than the 2,000-pound mark, even a small weight reduction is noticeable.
To the Club Racer even more special, Lotus has fitted a sports setting for Auto-Dynamic Performance Management (DPM) system. This advanced driving assistance allows less experienced drivers feel at the top of their game, and can be turned off completely for the experienced enthusiast.
Looking to go to the Elise Club Racer on sale in the near future of £ 27,500 ($ 44,590 at current exchange rates) price. Currently it is unclear whether the club racer is in the United States, but we should have more details after the car's official debut in Geneva in a few weeks. For now, follow the jump for the official press release read.

Geneva Preview: Lotus Evora by Mansory
With a whole range of new models in the pipeline has some very large Lotus plans for the future. But what does that mean for its existing lineup - especially the Evora, the latest among them? Earlier reports noted that Lotus was working on a major facelift for the mid-engine 2 2, bring it in line with its aggressive new design language. And it could very well be. But that's not what Lotus has in store for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show.
Instead, Lotus asks the public, "it is always wise to adapt?" Now, in our view, it certainly is not always wise, but sometimes it can be. In our view, very few of those days, unfortunately, will be realized when Mansory is involved, as the tuner improves doubting production vehicles as a rule with unusual finishes and bright interiors. But every once in a while, Mansory has an existing car is a re-skin - usually made of carbon fiber - which makes us stop and take another look. How the Aston Martin DB9 Bugatti Veyron Cyrus and Vincero. And so it seems to have done with the Lotus Evora.
In order to the factory, Mansory take on the Evora show what is possible in the aftermarket. It looks out with enough carbon to an F1 car kitted jealous, but finally, we decide when we see him in person to the reserve is rapidly approaching show. In the meantime, you are invited (Lucky You) follow the jump for the official statement and look at the pair of images in the gallery below released.

The earlier trial is reported in London, looking for a Summary Judgement, held a kind of preemptive strike that could obsolete the need for a lengthy dispute between the two parties.
For those familiar with Lotus Group parent company, Proton had allowed the name to an independent Lotus F1 team, that the field was last year. The two companies then had a disagreement over the continuation of the contract for a second season after the Lotus Group (owner of the car that we know and love), the form purchased for the Renault F1 Team Lotus Renault GP. The independent Malaysian team, is now also charged with Renault engines run next season, so that the two teams with almost identical names in all respects.
The two outfits were also set so similar black and gold run paint schemes this season, but decided the independent Team Lotus, with the existing green-yellow color scheme, such as Lotus Renault GP stick presented to the retro black and gold scheme at the Autosport International Show Birmigham (images of which we have in the gallery below for your viewing pleasure put). The team, however, could come into conflict tobacco control legislation (in Canada of all places where the law of the implementation was delayed initially hold their grand prix), because the color is reminiscent of, if sponsored tobacco brand JPS in the outfit is its height.
In a related development, the Lotus Renault GP team is reportedly preparing a large number of Malaysian employees and rent, including Fairuz Fauzy. The Malaysian driver - winner of the race in A1GP, GP2 and Formula Renault 3.5 - served as a test driver last season for Lotus Racing (aka Team Lotus), but recently left the team without explanation, and is now a Lotus Renault GP official act test and reserve driver next to Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov.
Finally, Lotus and the recruitment of former F1 driver Jean Alesi, who as ambassador for the Exos / type 125 program and the latest in a long line of former Ferrari employees, CEO Dany Behar (to serve a former deputy followed Ferrari announced President himself) at Lotus. Have it all? Now check out the fresh batch of images in the gallery below.
Lotus Type 125 makes its track debut
Lotus has the time taken to his new Formula One race civilian at heart and kidneys. The company has the support of both Jean Alesi and James Rossiter for Exos Type 125-test in his first official tour title. In addition, Rossiter said the open-wheel animal is like a mortal man can close to people handling the tiller to get a real F1 car.
It is no surprise. The Type 125 packs per 3.5-liter Cosworth V8 in the core with 650 hp. The miracle mill is strapped with a six-speed semi-automatic, and Lotus says that all will awaken the beast it is a pressure on the start button.
