Geneva Preview: 2012 Brabus CLS adds dose of sport, economy


Brabus has released its tuning package for the 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS range before its official premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. As with all things Brabus, the package for the CLS allows no stone upon another, from an aero package and the appearance of the suspension, and finally the motor.
Outside, the car gets a revised front bumper with larger air intakes, LED daytime running lights and a new front splitter. There are also a number of gill fenders sporting the Brabus logo, and side skirts give the car that the appearance of an even lower price and helpful entry lights, so you do not want to bash a shin in the night.

Video: Porsche resurrects 1900 Semper Vivus full-hybrid for Geneva display


Think of the Toyota Prius was the first hybrid car ever? Think about it yet. Honda Insight? Keep rates. In reality, the world's first hybrid was designed and built by none other than Ferdinand Porsche, father of the modern Dr.-Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart. That's right, the same brain that brought us, as ingenious as the machines Volkswagen Beetle and the Auto Union racers glorious built the world's first fully functional hybrid car.
Now that today's brain-trust again Porsche interest in hybrid technology, the German company decided to return the 1900 Semper Vivus, which literally kept alive. Although the technology has come a long way behind hybrids - Porsche's first hybrid about 4,000 pounds of lead-acid batteries are used and could not climb any kind of class - the basic principles are actually pretty equal.

Rumormill: Renault to produce Captur concept as a Clio crossover?


It usually takes months if not years after confirming a concept car debuts in front of a car manufacturer to see if it wants to or not going into production. But in the case of Renault Captur, it has not even presented to the public and more reports are already surfacing about his future production car.

According to foreign reports, Renault will build the dynamic crossover as Teildie next generation Clio hatchbacks due next year. Of course, certain elements are lost in the translation of exhibition stand showroom, but we hope that the nice left to the body integrated signals to the transition. Opel teases Zafira Tourer concept via hologram

Pics Aplenty: Smart ForSpeed tries its best to look speedy


Daimler has so kindly to serve a good portion of Smart ForSpeed photos before the car's unveil at this year's Motor Show in Geneva. Volvo confirms V60 Plug-In Hybrid for production ahead of Geneva debut

The V60 plug-in hybrid is a statement of the world's first diesel-hybrid plug-in, packaging coupled a 2.4-liter five-cylinder turbo diesel with a 70-hp electric motor on the rear axle.

The hybrid diesel car, the driver can select one of three modes of drive: Pure for AC electric drive for propulsion and power for an extra boost by both Hybrid. Skoda to showcase new design with fresh concept car in Geneva


Skoda has announced that it unveiled a new concept car at the Geneva Motor Show next week and confirmed earlier reports of its parent company's plans for the European expo. Although little was known in the way of details, Volkswagen has revealed Czech subsidiary, that the show car the company will present the latest design language.

The mysterious concept car - which appears not to accompany the lonely image above next to the existing range - is also carrying fresh on the Skoda logo, and the previously announced Fabia Monte Carlo support the company's booth at the Geneva Palexpo. Videos: Rinspeed BamBoo takes us on vacation from Geneva to Saint-Tropez


Rinspeed oddball creations are just as rare birds, as Strange Ones. Every year we come to Geneva and a good long look at the latest one before to be, and the cars never seen again. And we would not expect that, unlike this year bizarre concept car.

Called the bamboo, it is the Swiss company's vision of a modern, fully-electric, open-air beach buggy of sorts, and, like its predecessor, bears in the way of similarity with another car on the road today little. Jaguar bringing 550 hp XKR-S super coupe to Geneva


We have heard rumblings of a more powerful XKR. We saw spy shots of the rumors two-door, if it carries through the English countryside a touch of camouflage blew. And now it's official: Jaguar XKR to bring greater the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and goes by the name XKR-S.

We can only assume Jaguar is stuck with the supercharged 5.0-liter V8 as a motivational tool, because the details are not until next week in Switzerland to be unvieled shindig. However, we already have a few figures: 550 horsepower, 502 pound-feet of torque, running top speed of 186 miles per hour and the ability to benefit from zero-to-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds.

Jeep Grand Cherokee with 3.0L diesel V6 to bow in Geneva


Chrysler wants to sell a healthy amount of Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV in Europe, but the Auburn Hills, Mich.-based auto manufacturers do not pass the without a diesel option. Therefore, team Pentastar, a new 3.0-liter oil burner unveil early next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Chrysler claims that the new 3.0-liter to 8.3 liters per 100 km average, while the emissions come in at an average of 218 g / km. Chrysler also has a detuned version of the engine, with 191 hp and 324 lb-ft of torque. This mill will be for the Grand Cherokee is available in more countries.
