Rinspeed oddball creations are just as rare birds, as Strange Ones. Every year we come to Geneva and a good long look at the latest one before to be, and the cars never seen again. And we would not expect that, unlike this year bizarre concept car.
Called the bamboo, it is the Swiss company's vision of a modern, fully-electric, open-air beach buggy of sorts, and, like its predecessor, bears in the way of similarity with another car on the road today little. Well, maybe the old Fiat Jolly, Mini Moke, and any number of fiberglass bodied dune buggies ...
So if you take a closer look at the bamboo in its intended natural habitat - Saint-Tropez - check out the quartet of videos after the jump. Because the show will soon be over, and so is the car, the Rinspeed built for him. Oh, and guys: looks like the driver via single is ... says so right on the front of the car.
Rinspeed has unleashed a mammoth collection of photos with his upcoming Bamboo. We eagerly await this espionage adult golf cart (their words) in person at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The photos are heavy on the stylized representation of wealthy young people enjoy the summer in Saint-Tropez, but they show little of what Bamboo under the skin.
We know that their is produced in Germany 54-kW electric motor at speeds of up to 75 miles per hour and that its battery (unknown chemicals) has 65 miles to provide coverage. What's more, it seems that there will be a bike or two that are in the rear cargo area. Tech junkies will surely contained seven inches (Android?) Tablet PC.
The photos are fun to look at (get a load of the inflatable roof also serves as Beach Blanket) and help give us an idea of what to expect when we finally got our own train lenses on the real-life version of the Bamboo. In the meantime, feel free to check out the press release after the break.
