Rumormill: Renault to produce Captur concept as a Clio crossover?

Opel teases Zafira Tourer concept via hologram

Pics Aplenty: Smart ForSpeed tries its best to look speedy

Volvo confirms V60 Plug-In Hybrid for production ahead of Geneva debut

The V60 plug-in hybrid is a statement of the world's first diesel-hybrid plug-in, packaging coupled a 2.4-liter five-cylinder turbo diesel with a 70-hp electric motor on the rear axle.

The hybrid diesel car, the driver can select one of three modes of drive: Pure for AC electric drive for propulsion and power for an extra boost by both Hybrid. The flexible drive train also gives the driver the opportunity to save battery life and operating costs purely on diesel pusher (for example, when entering the city), and a through-the-road all-wheel-drive option by both engines when traction is limited.

As a plug-in hybrid, the Volvo Accumulator in 7.5 hours on a 6 amp socket, are charged 4.5 to 10 amps or as little as 3 hours at 16 amps. And while the production targets were not discussed in yesterday's announcement, Volvo has now confirmed that the V60 plug-in hybrid will hit dealers next year. Skoda to showcase new design with fresh concept car in Geneva

Skoda has announced that it unveiled a new concept car at the Geneva Motor Show next week and confirmed earlier reports of its parent company's plans for the European expo. Although little was known in the way of details, Volkswagen has revealed Czech subsidiary, that the show car the company will present the latest design language.

The mysterious concept car - which appears not to accompany the lonely image above next to the existing range - is also carrying fresh on the Skoda logo, and the previously announced Fabia Monte Carlo support the company's booth at the Geneva Palexpo. Rinspeed oddball creations are just as rare birds, as Strange Ones. Every year we come to Geneva and a good long look at the latest one before to be, and the cars never seen again. And we would not expect that, unlike this year bizarre concept car.

Called the bamboo, it is the Swiss company's vision of a modern, fully-electric, open-air beach buggy of sorts, and, like its predecessor, bears in the way of similarity with another car on the road today little. Well, maybe the old Fiat Jolly, Mini Moke, and any number of fiberglass bodied dune buggies ...

So if you take a closer look at the bamboo in its intended natural habitat - Saint-Tropez - check out the quartet of videos after the jump. Jaguar bringing 550 hp XKR-S super coupe to Geneva

We have heard rumblings of a more powerful XKR. We saw spy shots of the rumors two-door, if it carries through the English countryside a touch of camouflage blew. And now it's official: Jaguar XKR to bring greater the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and goes by the name XKR-S.

Rumormill: Bentley to bring new Continental Supersports to Geneva?

The first generation of Bentley Continental area produced so many variants, such as its engine has cylinder. Pair of Giugiaro Volkswagen concepts leak out ahead of Geneva debut

Giorgetto Giuigiaro Italdesign, and his studio have a long history of cooperation with the Volkswagen Group. Subaru teases Boxer Sports Car Architecture ahead of Geneva debut

Some car manufacturers are taking the latest technology in whatever form they come. Others define themselves to specific functions. Take Subaru, for example, which has built its reputation around two features: all-wheel drive and boxer engines. The joint venture with Toyota sports car on a common platform that can give up AWD Subaru had to have (at least in conceptual form), but it's not budge an inch on the boxer engine configuration.

So far, we have all of the Subaru version of what Toyota calls the FT-86 program seen some spy shots of test mules have modified Impreza body.
