Lexus gives us a closer look at the LFA Nürburgring package ahead of Geneva debut

It takes a while to get around the Nurburgring Nordschleife - about seven minutes even in the fastest machines with the best drivers behind the wheel. But apparently it takes longer to work around to releasing a special edition Nurburgring package you go super fast sports cars even more title-friendly.
We are clearly talking about the Lexus LFA Nurburgring package ToMoCo's six-figure V10 supercar with extra kit for track duty. Lexus announced last May that they had to make 50 copies, and the better part of a year later confirmed that the public would finally at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show unveiled. Now less than a week away from its debut, Lexus has given us some additional details and pictures of the cars we saw only three angles so far.
So, what do we need to know? For a start, that extra ten horsepower is not to the Nurburgring package equipped LFA faster acceleration times. Also, a higher top end with. The ten-horse boost is included to the resistance of the huge rear wing to keep the track focused sports car glued to the carousel helps counteract. Even if we know the Ring issue LFA in black (matte or gloss) or orange had could be (as shown), knew, Lexus has also confirmed that the interior are trimmed in all black, black and red, or black-purple (a good game for the orange outside, if you have ever been used as 'Prince' known), and only European customer for any reason, receive the full carbon interior.
There are more details to fill in the press release after the jump, plus a new generation of images in the gallery below. But we will go with another distinctive detail: Lexus offers buyers one-on-one instruction from a "ring-master (or mistress) and one year free admission to lap on the Nordschleife to your heart's content of course, is in the. $ 70,000 bonus mentioned that the Nurburgring package commands to the already high $ 375,000 price of an LFA. Tack on another $ 20K course for the matt black finish.

2012 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet drops its top for the drive to Geneva

Ladies and gentlemen, has returned to the Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet. One of the popular series made by the Golf Cabrio convertible ever from the VW range has been missing since the MkIV model was discontinued in 2003. Nevertheless, the youngest was just a convertible car with a touched-up MkIII front end, so that the last new Golf convertible was actually introduced in 1993. So this is a bit of a milestone.
What the Eos, you ask? A fine question. Probably closer to the Jetta in the first place the name, the Eos next to the Golf Cabriolet (not the New Beetle convertible, which is due, the production end of this year is mentioned before his replacement) continued. The Eos is longer than the Golf Cabrio, although the same wheelbase provides similar interior dimensions. The Eos has a retractable hardtop, while the new Golf convertible fabric roof is the route that both bases. The golf mechanism takes to drop just 9.5 seconds and can be operated up to 18 miles per hour at speeds. With the roof itself as cover, less trunk space is compromised.
A series of six turbocharged, direct injection gasoline and diesel engines will be offered worldwide, five of them with dual-clutch gearbox and three with BlueMotion technology.
There is no word on availability for us in the United States, but given the similarity with the Eos and the company's strategy vis-a-vis the Scirocco, it is quite possible this could remain beyond our reach as this. We have Cabriolet a closer look at the Gulf when it debuts next week at the Geneva Motor Show, but now you can watch the pictures in the gallery below and the details in the press release after the jump.

Mini Rocketman Concept takes off ahead of Geneva debut

Mini's latest production car - the Countryman - to the automaker's largest offering to date, but now the brand for its pint-sized fighter known to his roots with his latest concept. But this is not a preview of the next generation Cooper - oh no, no, no - it is the Rocketman (Elton John keyword) is. In just over 11 feet long, the error-eyed little Luke a little shorter than a base Cooper hardtop and uses a unique three-plus-one seating inside. It is not gonna be a long, long time before we see the Rocketman in person, either - the concept makes its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
In compiling the Rocketman Mini focus of his petite body was kept as light as possible. A carbon space frame forms reduce the most significant works, and things such as weight-efficient wheels with a closed surface structure drag to improve fuel economy. Speaking of marketing, says that the Mini Rocketman by "a system to further improve combined sprinting ability with average fuel consumption of only three liters per 100 kilometers (94 miles per gallon Imperial)" is turned on - about 78 mpg on the U.S. cycle. We do not have any details on exactly what powers the mini-concept, but we would take our poison that it involved some electrification.

Lamborghini Aventador leaked ahead of Geneva reveal?

We stumbled our first look at its interior that morning, but the folks at WorldCarFans have on what appears the first picture of the finished Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador be. Ask at the Geneva Motor Show debut next week, the Aventador Lambo new Murcielago replacement flagship super sports car, and when their (still unconfirmed) name suggests, we can expect around 700 horsepower on tap, which is a new twelve-cylinder heart .
We have seen dozens of spy shots of the Aventador, and all signs point to a very aggressive design. There are many elements of style from the Sesto Elemento concept that debuted at the Paris Motor Show is in last autumn and the end result is absolutely irresistible. Take the Ferrari posters from your walls, kids - there are to drool a new supermodel.
The rest of the rumor Aventador's specifications are equally impressive. It is 62 miles per hour in just 2.9 seconds sprint, and it will do to 217 mph at the very top. The sheer speed is the result of the new C-Lamborghini monocoque cell that weighs nearly 325 pounds - in fact, the whole body-in-white on the scale only 505 pounds. Although the drivetrain and interior bits are screwed, should this new Lambo seriously easy (for a car of its size anyway).
Expect to be revealed the full details of the all-wheel-drive Aventador LP700-4 in the coming days and we will be our first in-person look at the new field will receive next week. Get ready. Top tip, Sean!
