Video: Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 takes to the track

The 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 certainly has the statistics of the kick-ass track car. Who can argue with a naturally aspirated, 4.0-liter straight-six minutes with 500 hp, a 8,250 rpm redline and a 7:27 Nurburgring time? Equally exciting is the fact that the GT3 RS 4.0 only 2998 pounds soaking wet, thanks to weigh a variety of weight-saving measures such as light carpet and lots of carbon fiber. And when was the last time you saw a street-legal production car with front plates dive down has power?

You know what we do otherwise? Video of the GT3 RS 4.0 on the track. After the jump is video of the 997 911 last iteration of the Porsche test track breaking developments in Germany. While you're at, you can also learn more about the Porsche GT 4.0 of chief Andreas Preuninger. It is a pity that we only have $ 184,948 under the GT3 RS 4.0 's are starting price of $ 185k, because we certainly one of the 600 owners would have to be these 911 long-term in our garage.
