It's musical chairs season at General Motors. The automaker has a rash of personnel changes in the positions of U.S. Vice President to Chief Technology Officer announced. Perhaps most interesting of the general Maria Barra is because the company appointed the new vice president for global product development. That's a change from her previous post, where Berra served as Vice President Global Human Resources - a position it has since 2009. Berra officially takes the reins on 1 February.
This is the same day that Linda Marshall is their new role as president of OnStar. Marshall has taken the place of Chris Preuss, the left GM to work as a communications consultant. Marshall joined the firm in 2010, OnStar Executive Director of Business Strategy and Development. She previously held senior positions with both Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nextel.
GM also has a new position, the wave of new technology in vehicles flooding handle cooked. Vice President Thomas G. Stephens was chosen to be the new global company Chief Technology Officer. Stephens is responsible for the investigation of new "game-changing" technologies for the company's products. Most recently he was vice chairman of the firm serves the Global Product Operations.
On the marketing side of things, Chris Perry Joel Ewanick replaced as GM vice president of global marketing. The move allows Rick Scheidt of Perry's old duties as the U.S. Vice-President to take Chevrolet's marketing. Ewanick has now shifted to the company, global chief marketing officer.
In addition, John Schwegman has not the U.S. vice-president of Buick-GMC marketing VP moves only handling duties for GMC. Tony DiSalle takes over as vice president of marketing Buick.
