Subaru teases Boxer Sports Car Architecture ahead of Geneva debut
Some car manufacturers are taking the latest technology in whatever form they come. Others define themselves to specific functions. Take Subaru, for example, which has built its reputation around two features: all-wheel drive and boxer engines. The joint venture with Toyota sports car on a common platform that can give up AWD Subaru had to have (at least in conceptual form), but it's not budge an inch on the boxer engine configuration.
So far, we have all of the Subaru version of what Toyota calls the FT-86 program seen some spy shots of test mules have modified Impreza body. But to expect both Toyota and Subaru are revealing their own versions of the sports coupe at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, and to arouse our interest, the latter released the single teaser shot you see above, which the boxer engine in a Tron embedded-like presentation of the stroller frame.
