Chrysler fixes Grand Cherokee handling issue identified by Consumer Reports


According to Consumer Reports, Chrysler has a processing fee issue with the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, that the publication addressed discovered in independent tests. During a double lane-change emergency braking CR testers found a considerable amount of slide and hop on the limit of traction. Chrysler engineers went to the magazine test track, get the results before returning to Auburn Hills with a solution to be checked. In December, the car manufacturer, a software update for the stability of the vehicle control, and had made all Grand Cherokee models from the factory since the update.

Consumer Reports has recently updated the 2011 Grand Cherokee to the test at the track again and found that the problem was fixed. The large SUV managed an average speed of 50 MPH to keep through the course and acted on and beyond the limits of vehicle traction. The update has helped to improve the vehicle Consumer Reports rating for the Grand Cherokee from a 66 to A 71st
