Holden Captiva gets big Series II update [w/video]


Holden has introduced its Series II Captiva in both five and seven-passenger configurations, and the company says that the buyers can now greater power and fuel consumption thanks to a series of new and upgraded engines. The Captiva 7 (shown above) will come, packing either a 2.2-liter turbo diesel lump or the same 3.0-liter V6 direct injection engine in the nose of the company found Commodore. Likewise, the Captiva 5 may be able to take advantage of the same oil-burning engine in addition to the standard 2.4-liter gasoline engine with four pot. All three engines is a six-speed automatic transmission are connected.

The Australian arm of General Motors has gone beyond the Resculpting Captiva 7's front fascia, and buyers can now choose between three different wheel sizes 17-19 inches. Meanwhile, the new Captiva 5 is only available with 17-inch rolls. Interestingly, the Captiva 5 remains a different look, which is very close to the late Saturn Vue.

Holden has also packaged baked in a bunch of new standard equipment, including a CD player with MP3 COMPATIBLE AUX input, Bluetooth hands-free calling and music streaming and a leather steering wheel. Hit the jump for the full press release and video.
