Report: Pat "Crashgate" Symonds finds his way back into F1 with Virgin
Say hello again Pat Symonds. Former Renault F1 technical director of the sports was fired in disgrace along with Flavio Briatore in the wake of the crash gate scandal because of the arrangement Nelsinho Piquet to crash his car on purpose. But Symonds is now back.
In a controversial step, to determine the FIA agreed with Symonds that he not participate in the sport until late 2012. But the ruling determined that he could, with his company neutrino Dynamics, take an advisory role before then. And according to the reports, that's exactly what he has done.
So for this season at least his advice to Symonds Marussia Virgin Racing team is how to cheat their way ahead on the grid. He is not really at the races, but when Virgin tried something suspicious, we know exactly where to look can.
