Nissan announces return to Le Mans with Signature LMP2


Could this be the first encouraging signs of the Japanese automaker back to international racing? In recent years saw giants like Toyota and Honda in Formula One and Subaru pulled out withdrawal from the World Rally Championship - their places taken by rivals from outside Japan and independent privateer teams. But now Nissan is planning to Le Mans and announced the associated series with a new program back LMP2.

The effort includes the provision Nissan Nismo tuned engines VK45V8 signature. The French racing team will run the engines in an LMP2 prototype in the Le Mans Intercontinental Cup, including the headline in 24 Hours of Le Mans and Sebring. Although the driver lineup is not announced for a few weeks we will, the team has already Formula 3 driver Franck Mailleux get the job.

Nissan and signature goal in Le Mans and hopefully score a podium finish at some point end of the season.
