Report: Honda slashes board size to speed decision making

In a move similar to one recently made by Toyota, Honda has a plan, announced to reduce the size of the Board of Directors. Downsizing 20-12 board members allow Honda to streamline its decision-making.

Subject to approval at Honda forthcoming Annual General Meeting, the changes in June made official. The board is removed from the American Honda Motor Company President Tetsuo Iwamura. He retains his role stateside presidential elections and his additional position of senior managing director at Honda headquarters in Japan.
