Video: Hennessey V650 Wagon vs. Porsche 911 Turbo pits apples against (old) oranges

During the Nürburgring seems today can boast a popular meeting place for sports cars, drag strip is the king when it comes to acceleration contests. In this sense, the people at Hennessey Performance a video of their latest hopped-up Cadillac V650 Wagon takeover by Porsche have released venerable 911. As expected, pushes the 650-PS "Family Station Wagon" the 480-horsepower lighter "Germany's Finest" Coupe for the win.

Wait a second.

The video clearly has a Porsche "Tiptronic" transmission. This means it is an older, is pre-2010 model (note the lack of LED brake lights), the lack of current lightning fast double-clutch gearbox PDK transmission and standard rear limited slip. We do not know exactly, but it could also be an old model 2006. Thanks to Launch Control, today's standard 500-horsepower 997 Turbo does 0-60 in less than three seconds ... easily. It is also known that the V650 is on drag radials riding - a big advantage over road connections to a well-used strip.

Nobody's downplaying of the ferocity of the blown cars, and we welcome this kind of challenge, but we want to be sure to choose our words carefully and keep more participants in the same era. Follow the jump to see the video.
