Spectre 341 Challenge is back and open to everyone


In June 1972, founded Hans Tanner and other members of the Ferrari Owners Club of Southern California on the road, now known as the Nevada Highway 341st Tanner tried the big hill climb events in which he participated in emulate Europe and the Virginia City Hill CLMB was the perfect opportunity to take a shot at recapturing glory. The event ran until 2002, when tragedy struck, and organizers decided to cancel the event.
In 2010, newly launched new organizers of the Virginia City Hill Climb, dubbed the first annual Spectre 341 Challenge. The second version is scheduled for June 17-20, 2011th Unlike last year, invitation-only event at the 2011 Spectre 341 Challenge is open to everyone.
Are you ready to take on 5.2 miles of winding asphalt Nevada? The road has several blind corners, nearly constant elevation changes and some spots are still awaiting the attention of the Nevada Department of Transportation (read: no handrail). If you are feeling yyou you and your car up to the task, you must do two things: the $ 341 entry fee ready and get your butt to Nevada to try and 3.41 in the club.
