2012 Hyundai Genesis sedan gets new 5.0L V8, upgraded V6


 It seems like yesterday when the car industry Hyundai shocked with the Genesis sedan. The hard truth is that the Korean automaker's first foray came in the luxury market in 2008 as a 2009 model year. Hyundai will not rest on its laurels and new updates for the model year 2012 during the Chicago Auto Show debut this week.No self-esteem renew the mid-cycle without a completely new drive train complete, and the Genesis is blessed with a doozy. A brand new R-Spec trim level sport is a completely new direct-injected 5.0-liter V8 - a mill that provides for the larger Equus's. The new engine, Hyundai is the strongest engine that produces 429 hp each at 6,400 rpm / min and 376 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. This is very impressive 85.6 hp per liter from a naturally aspirated grunt or more per unit than the competition from Lexus and Mercedes-Benz.
Impressive stuff, and Hyundai followed by a new eight-speed automatic transmission, which was developed in-house. The new tranny will help the R-Spec model to reach an estimated consumption of 25 miles per gallon on the highway and 16 mpg in the city. The R-Spec model is also unique 19-inch wheels, along with more aggressive suspension and steering tuning.
The Genesis sedan will have still made the 4.6-liter Tau V8 and 3.8-liter V6 offers, but changes to increase both performance and efficiency. The 4.6-liter V8 is now being rewarded the driver with 385 ponies thanks to tweaked induction and timing. Wha't smore is the upgraded eight-cylinder mill, now hit 26 mpg mpg on the highway, from 25. The 3.8-liter engine, has added direct injection for 2012, pump horsepower by a significant 15 percent - 333 hp and 291 lb-ft for you number crunchers out there, up 43 ponies and 27 Nm from the old engine.
Hyundai rounded changes for the 2012 model year to keep up with a few tweaks fresh design aesthetic. The updates include a revised grille and front bumper, the integration of new headlamps with LED accents and dark chrome headlight units. Out back, Hyundai has new taillights and a revised fascia and integrated dual exhaust tips. Other changes include a variety of internal updates and new Genesis 3.8 Premium packages and technology.
