Sony: GT Academy round two won't count because of cheaters

If you've been through the fact that the first three candidates in Polyphony Digital GT Academy cheating dog feel aggrieved not to sweat. Sony has announced that the second round of the "Gran Turismo 5 challenge is not counted. Instead, give everyone who participated in round two also able to have it go into the third round. The company says that its already hard at working on a way to prevent players from cutting the same corners in Rome and Madrid circuits that prevent the contentious lap times allowed in the first place.

The message is for anyone who accepted that Sony might pull the plug on the competition, all on one line feared. There is one drawback, though. The next round of the GT Academy has been moved permanently, until the whole mess can be sorted correctly, and Polyphony did not say when we can expect a patch for the players' resolve to cheating ways. Stay tuned.
