Report: Ford will attempt to stop Ferrari from using F150 name [UPDATE]

F150 is not to call logosPickupTrucks.com name, but according to "sources familiar with the matter," Ford is planning a court injunction against Ferrari F150 ask about the use of the name for its latest F1 car. And the Blue Oval legal team presentation of the relevant documents could be as early as this week. UPDATE: Ford has released a statement confirming the report. Make the jump for the explosion. Statement from Ford:

F-150 ® is an established and important Ford brand and the name of the bestseller in Ford's F-Series, America's best-selling truck for 34 years and best-selling cars for 29 years. Through extensive marketing and advertising and use only Ford has earned valuable goodwill value in the F-150 ® trademark. The hard-won goodwill is seriously concerned about the acceptance of the Ferrari threat "F150".

When Ferrari announced the name of his race car "F150" Ferrari asked Ford to change the name. Ferrari do not respond in time, that Ford no choice but to tread the courts to protect its major brand and trademark rights.
