Zero Motorcycles 2011 lineup reveals dramatic changes [w/video]

Zero Motorcycles has just presented its lineup for 2011, and while the model designations remain the same, the changes in each eye. The company seems to done a good job listening to customer feedback and have re-thought and redesigned their entire range. The bicycles, which will begin shipping in March updated not only have brakes, wheels and other components, they will all be able to shop in half the time with an optional J1772 connecter that now the public charging station standard. And that's just the beginning.

Both the 2011 trail riding X and its more hardcore brother the MX are now in complete versions homolugated road with lights, mirrors and various gear for higher speeds. The MX has been a powerful engine and Agni is good for 57 mph in full street dress.
Both keep the same fast speed as soil-bound brothers.
The dual-sport and street machines of Zero have their own surprises. Both the DS and S are now quieter and require less maintenance, which traded up in its chain for a belt drive. As well, their batteries have gained 12.5 percent more capacity, and both have indicated an EPA UDDS range of 43 miles with a maximum distance than 58 miles. The S was lowered another two inches to improve the handling.
Do not forget to watch not hit the jump for each bike's (music-free, thank you) video, together with three other high-res image galleries and the official press release. If that's not enough to meet your curiosty, there are a lot more information on the Zero website.
