De Tomaso revival effort shown ahead of Geneva

Behold, the De Tomaso SLC concept in all its, uh, glory. If you're like us, this probably is not the first thing sprang to mind when you heard that De Tomaso is raised (again) from the ashes of bankruptcy for a triumphant return to the world stage. The company says that the SLC is a luxury sport crossover.
Despite its compact proportions and a bit strange, this thing should be to drive an explosion. According to reports, under the hood sits a 524-hp V8 engine, although buyers should also either should choose a 296-horsepower V6 or a 247-hp turbo diesel with six-pot their hearts - and wallets - so desire.
De Tomaso said that the SLC concept at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show next month and expect that we can bend, a production run of 3,000 units from next year. The price for this fine piece of technology is expected to sit at a cool € 85,000 - about $ 115k Yankee dollars. Better start saving your milk money.
If you were hoping something more along the lines of the infamous Pantera, never see fear. Word is that the company is hard at work on developing a spiritual successor to the animal with a four-door sedan to the Porsche Panamera Tango. Check out the link below for more images.
