Parking fines on single London street reportedly reach over $1.5M

We can stop whining about our latest officially our ticket. Across The Pond, have begun to London authorities, local driver's feet to the fire and are raking in record time due to fines. A street even managed to pull down almost £ 1,000,000 ($ 1,600,000 at current exchange rates) last year. This is especially shocking considering that the now infamous Clapham Park Road in Lambeth district is less than half a mile long. According to reports, authorities gave an amazing 16 800 tickets on the street alone, or about 46 citations per day.

The total amount of the fine on that particular street next collected over £ 300 000 ($ 480,000) counted higher than the street with the higher level of parking fine revenue.

Some locals believe that the government is using to build traffic ticket gaps in its budget as illegal revenue generator. Several complaints to the melody already collected from Barnet to Westminster.
