Report: Ford paying dealers to teach MyFord Touch to buyers

The Blue Oval MYFORD Touch infotainment system is a powerful bit of kit, so it may be understandable that it proves to be fairly significant learning curve attached to it.

So it is no wonder that Ford sales people spend more time than usual to explain with car buyers, how everything works. But as the old chestnut says sales, time is money, Ford will reportedly compensate its sales team by $ 75 for each vehicle sold with the MYFORD touch system. This also applies to models sold Lincoln MyLincoln with the touch system. In addition to the $ 75 MYFORD Touch Bounty, Ford is also sold to provide $ 50 for each vehicle with Sync. Moving from Dearborn is to ensure that the sales people to teach the necessary time for the buyers, how to take the system master, and thus prevent disgruntled owners.

Despite the lack of a "Recommendation" rating from Consumer Reports, Ford is forging full-steam ahead with its MYFORD touch system. By 2015, the automaker plans to make it to 80 percent of its lineup.
