Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour is under attack because there are the efforts of state Sons of Confederate Veterans a license plate commemorating the Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest ordered Institute. Historically, Forrest has been celebrated both for his military brilliance and condemned for his brutality, both during and after the Civil War.
