Report: Porsche confirms work on four-cylinder


Autocar reports that Porsche stir up hard at work on a new four-cylinder power everything from the often rumored, and the small Porsche Boxster, Cayman, and possibly even the 911th During his speech at the Detroit Auto Show, said Wolfgang Dürheimer, head of research and development for the automaker that Porsche already toiling over the four-pot, and that it may be applied to models outside of the next sub-model Boxster.

There was some evidence that the smaller Porsche would Bits borrow built by a sister car of Volkswagen and Audi, and while this line must cut would be on the development costs for all three cars, it seems Porsche is bent on promoting its version with a beating Heart designed and developed in house.

If you have not yet recovered from the idea of a four-cylinder 911, a deep breath. Dürheimer said that for now Porsche wants the apartment for six of its bread-and-butter sports machine to keep, although there is no telling what might bring the distant future.
