GM adding 750 jobs to build more heavy-duty pickups


General Motors has announced that it is a further shift in its Flint assembly plant to add production of more Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra heavy pickups. The third layer is expected that a full 750 new jobs added, and the first wave of employees will begin arriving at the facility during the second quarter of this year. Production will ramp up in the third quarter. Currently employs 2,100 workers Flint Assembly, and last year churned out of the factory 115,000 vehicles. GM says that the first wave of workers of the positions that you are filled transferred to other institutions. The majority of workers are likely to come from Lansing.

The rest of the positions of people you have in other plants, including Orion, Willow Run and Warren made. GM is not any new staff for the third layer. Hit the jump for the full press release.
