Report: CAR projects Michigan will net up to 23,000 new auto jobs in 2011

The fourth quarter of 2010 was strengthening auto sales and analysts believe 2011 will reveal a further increase. This will likely result in more profit for the automakers and the Detroit News reports that Michigan could follow jobs. The report cited the findings of the Center for Automotive Research (CAR), that up to 23,000 new jobs in Michigan in 2011 alone show.

This is a huge number of high wage jobs in a region burdened with unemployment above 10 percent, and projected a big reason the middle state to employment will be a winner, is a shift in the competitive landscape. Ford and General Motors are making money was in a down automotive market, Chrysler break even before the most refreshing of its vehicle lineup. CAR points out that the Detroit Three and competitive labor and legacy costs, quality and efficiency in production, the more money is freed for product development.

CAR has reportedly follow in a position to at least $ 5600000000 in announced projects in Michigan in the past 24 months, and the industry continues to recover from the recession, a number that stands a good chance to increase.
