KBB looks back at a year in the life of Toyota


Toyota had a great 2010. It was apparently with an endless series of negative articles and shifting consumer perceptions filled. But the automobile buying public has really swayed? Kelley Blue Book decided to back a tough look at Toyota in 2010 in a special report entitled Toyota: one year later.

The answer to the question of perception, it is tricky and can be both a yes and a no will be answered. New car sales remained with the rest of the automotive industry, sales in the period after the economic crash of 2008 and 2009 did improve compared. However, the values on used Toyota vehicles has held strong.

New car buyers are said to be very aware of recent recalls Toyota suffering and feel the brand has been tarnished as a result. But 40 percent of respondents believe the automaker has responded correctly and fixed the various issues.

KBB Toyota has tried in 2010 with valuable data collected from its broken in-market shopping site and used car valuation analysis. Consumers were also interviewed and all information in a report that have been packed definitely worth reading, especially if you are considering buying a Toyota.
