Chrysler auctions first Fiat 500 in Canada for $85,000

With all the anticipation surrounding the ChryslerFiat tie-up in the U.S., it would be too easy to forget that Canada will be part of Fiat's return to North American shores as well. After all, this is where Sergio Marchionne leave, and some plants underutilized Chrysler should be retooled to build Fiat's North American market. True North (free and strong as he is) has also obtained the first Fiat 500 to reach the western shores of the Atlantic in a charity auction that absolutely (even figuratively) blew the doors on the list price mini retro. Don Chrysler Canada for the 17th Annual Venice Ball to Toronto, specially badged Cinquecento went for a whopping $ 85,000 Canadian. The price was not announced for these markets, but we'll assume it's safe several times more than the car itself is worth, Prima Edizione Edizione Prima or not. Proceeds from the charity auction go to the services offered by Villa Charities, an organization that aims to help the elderly and the mentally handicapped in the Italian-Canadian community in Toronto.
